Posting your Assignment

with E-Uploads on myJanee.com

D. Use the E-Uploader from myJanee.com

This is a fast and easy ways to get your images online. There are two big downsides to using this uploader for the class, however:

  • You have a limit on how many images you can post (with the free account), so you can't keep them up there forever.
  • You may have political ads (which have nothing to do with me or my beliefs) showing up with your pictures.

1. Set up your account. You'll set up your own login name and password. This need not be the same as your login/password at myJanee.com, but it can be.

2. Create a Gallery. Click the My Galleries link at the top of the E-Uploads page. This page explains that, for the free plan, you get one gallery! That's all you'll need for this class.

Note: E-Uploads has advertising banners which are NOT mine. It also has some myJanee.com ones! I make no money from E-Uploads, but E-Places.net does provide the hosting for myJanee.com.

3. Upload your images.

  • Click the Upload link at the top of the page to get to the uploader.
  • Click the Browse button and find your first image.
  • Just above the Upload Images button, there is a line where you can choose to put your images into your Gallery, if you wish.
  • Click the Upload Images button and wait for it to go.
4. Copy your gallery's URL
  • Click the My Galleries link at the top of the page. Lots of options here! What you need in order to post your assignment is the HTML Link for your gallery.
  • Highlight this Gallery URL.
  • Ctrl-C on your keyboard. This puts the URL into your computer's clipboard. This is something that you will not see.

Now you're ready to post to the Classroom Forum in the myJanee.community.

To add a picture in Blogger, click the Add Picture icon in the Toolbar. You'll be able to tell Blogger how large you want your image displayed in your text and how you want it placed on the page. (You're telling it how large to display on your blog page. Clicking your image on the blog page will display your picture in the size that you upload.)

So here are the steps for posting your assignment to a Blogging site:

1. Create your page, make your Artist's Statements, and upload your images.

2. Upload your Blog entry.

3. Copy your gallery's URL

  • Go to the page where your blog is.
  • Highlight the URL.
  • Ctrl-C on your keyboard. This puts the URL into your computer's clipboard. This is something that you will not see.

Now you're ready to post to the Classroom Forum in the myJanee.community.
